This is a highly technical position with a critical area of responsibility to develop, oversee and implement the City's public relations and marketing strategy; serves as a key advisor to all departments on planning, development, implementation and control of Communications. The incumbent is also responsible for technical work in content creation for print, digital, video production/TV and operation of the City's Public Broadcast Channel.

Manages all social media accounts for City's Departments.Develops innovative and creative media content across social media platforms. Reports to Senior Multimedia Specialist and collaborates with media team and the Information Technology (IT) Department to ensure a cohesive social media identity. Proposes creative strategies in collaboration with the Senior Multimedia Specialist in advancing the City Mission on social and traditional print media. Creates and maintains relevant social media accounts.

Bachelor's Degree in mass communications, marketing, journalism, graphic arts or a closely related field, or six (6) years of responsible experience implementing marketing strategies and coordinating varied media projects, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid Florida driver's license is required.
