Associates Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or a related field and prior experience directly assisting persons of diverse ethnic/socioeconomic backgrounds in the areas of criminal victimization, crisis intervention, supportive counseling and case management, including coordinating services/trainings or a high school diploma or GED with two years of related work experience. A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or related field is preferred.  Must successfully complete Victim Assistance Training Courses and attain related certifications prior to or within six (6) months after appointment. Possess a valid Florida Driver's License.   Experience working in the criminal justice system or local, state, and/or federal social service agencies that provide services to victims of crimes.


This is professional and specialized advocacy work serving victims of crime in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, grant contracts and departmental policies and procedures. An employee in this position is responsible for the provision of liaison, counseling and other supportive services in cooperation with local, state and federal organizations and agencies.
