Graduation from an accredited college/university with a degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering; three (3) years related experience in treatment plant/water/wastewater field including one (1) year of project management or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in the state of Florida is required. Responsible supervisory or administrative experience in public works, utilities, construction and/or related fields or an equivalent combination of training and experience is preferred.


This is a highly responsible administrative and technical position in the Utility Special District. The incumbent participates, coordinates and oversees in the review of plans and specifications for capital projects, and all infrastructure utilities; assists in the budgeting, planning, organizing, and coordinating of the water and sewage division activities. Employee in this class is responsible for some of the departmental detail work relative to budget preparation, research studies, procedural investigations, liaison, public contact and performs related duties as assigned. Work is performed under general direction of the Assistant Utility District Executive Director with considerable latitude for use of independent judgment in the selection of work methods and procedures.
