Must be at least 19 years of age and high school graduate or GED equivalent. Must have a valid Florida's Driver's License with an "E" endorsement. There must not be more than five (5) points within the most recent three (3) year period; and no conviction related endorsements and must be maintained during the term of employment. Non-certified applicants must meet all the prerequisites of the police academy prior to entry into the Basic Recruit Training Academies for Law Enforcement at Palm Beach State College. This requirement has been established through the college and by Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission and the Region XII Training Council. Proof of successful passing of the above documents must accompany the application at the time of submission. Incomplete applications which includes missing documents, will not be processed for employment consideration. Pre-employment medical examination, drug and nicotine testing required.
