Summary Objective

The purpose of this position is to direct the activities of the Community Development Department, including the Planning, Housing, and Economic Development Divisions. Performs professional and administrative work with the City's Planning, Zoning, Housing, Redevelopment, Community Development, and Economic Development activities.

This class works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a Master's Degree in urban and regional planning, business or public administration, construction management, or closely related field.

Requires ten years of planning experience, including two years at the supervisory level, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Special Certifications and Licenses:

FEMA 100, 200, 700 Certification

Valid Driver's License
